Job Title: Automotive Homologation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Homologation Specialist to join our team at Applus IDIADA. As a key member of our UK Homologation team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the expansion of our activities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver homologation activities across our existing client base, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Generate opportunity proposals in line with IDIADA's technical scope, under supervision.
  • Witness testing at manufacturer locations or testing laboratories for homologation.
  • Purpose, prepare, and present test reports.
  • Support Senior Homologation Engineers in preparing required homologation tests and carrying out these tests.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations, findings, news, and regulations changes in the field.
Requirements:
  • Previous automotive or homologation experience is essential, with a focus on activities such as Commercial Vehicle Approval, Passenger Car Passive & Active Safety, and knowledge of ADAS, Cyber Security, and Software update systems.
  • Knowledge of type approval regulations, technical, and safety requirements.
  • Fluent in English, with other languages an asset.
  • A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with practical knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of Automotive OEM processes, sales, engineering, technical, commercial, costing, engineering, or programme management knowledge.
  • A full driving license is essential.
