About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team at Reed. As a Tax Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of tax processes and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the management of direct and indirect tax compliance processes, including corporation tax, VAT, and plastics tax, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  2. Oversee the monthly group and annual statutory accounts reporting process as it relates to tax.
  3. Assist with tax enquiries or queries from HMRC.
  4. Provide tax guidance, advice, and support across all taxes to the business and wider organisation.
  5. Engage in various ad hoc tasks, projects, and transactions, including tax governance-related issues.
  6. Implement global tax policies, including transfer pricing.
Requirements
  1. Experience in a multinational company within a tax function or finance area with exposure to taxes, or from an accounting and tax services advisory firm.
  2. Professional qualifications in accounting and/or tax.
  3. Good understanding of corporation tax and VAT.
  4. Experience in transfer pricing, UK R&D, and Irish taxes would be an advantage.
  5. Ability to work independently within guidelines and policies, with minimal guidance.
