About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team at Clearline Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the direct and indirect tax compliance processes, including corporation tax, VAT, and plastics tax, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in managing the direct and indirect tax compliance processes, handled by the in-house tax team, the accounting shared services centre, or external tax advisers, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
- Supporting the oversight of tax-related aspects of the monthly group reporting and annual statutory accounts process, managed by the accounting shared services centre, ensuring timely completion.
- Helping address tax inquiries and queries from HMRC.
- Providing tax guidance and support across all taxes to the business and the wider organization.
- Assisting with various ad hoc tasks, projects, and transactions, including tax governance issues.
- Supporting the implementation of global tax policies, including transfer pricing.
Requirements:
- Experience in a multinational company within a tax or finance function, or from an accounting and tax advisory firm.
- Professional qualifications in accounting and/or tax.
- Strong knowledge of corporation tax and VAT.
- Experience with transfer pricing, UK R&D, and Irish taxes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently within established guidelines and policies, with minimal supervision.
