About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Oversight Specialist to join our team at Margetts Fund Management Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical oversight of our investment activities, ensuring that our funds are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze investment and borrowing powers, engaging with the Compliance team and investment managers as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of due diligence processes for new and existing investment advisers.
  • Generate high-quality management information and identify process efficiencies.
  • Support the execution of committee meetings, providing analysis and recommendations on investment risk, valuation, and liquidity oversight.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Oversight Manager to develop and implement business-as-usual processes and ongoing project activity.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in an investment oversight or investment analyst role at a regulated firm.
  • Exposure to ACD/AFM business and related functions such as depositary, fund pricing, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of key investment risks and how to measure them.
  • Critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, including the FCA's COLL sourcebook.
  • Ability to assess the effectiveness of controls and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal, team-working, and communication skills.
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office and financial data software.
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
