About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Band 5 nurse to join our Neonatal Unit team. As a skilled member of the nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to vulnerable families in Cornwall.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Work as a skilled member of the nursing team within the Neonatal Unit, providing holistic family integrated care.
  2. Promote family-centred care and establish good relationships with babies and their families.
  3. Collaborate with the Community Neonatal Outreach Team to support families in preparation for discharge.
  4. Contribute to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
  5. Act as a named nurse for patient care on the Neonatal Unit to Transitional Care, supporting families with a smooth discharge care pathway.
  6. Ensure safe provision of care through the Neonatal Unit.
  7. Deliver high standards of compassionate, dignified care, managing time accurately and efficiently in cooperation with other staff members, tasks, and resources.
  8. Undertake training, assessment, and facilitation of peers and staff.
