About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Specialist Nurse to join our forward-thinking team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neonatal and Transitional Care Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to infants and their families in the Transitional Care unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for their recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to identify and manage deteriorating babies, ensuring timely interventions and optimal outcomes.
  • Offer professional advice and support to families, empowering them to take an active role in their baby's care and promoting family-centered care.
  • Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care, including expanded role responsibilities.
  • Assist with Neonatal education opportunities for Transitional Care staff, working closely with the Neonatal clinical skills facilitator.
