About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's commercial team, supporting the senior quantity surveyor in the highways maintenance sector.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs, maximizing profit, and ensuring delivery of payment while developing client relationships.

You will be involved in viewing and evaluating payments, including site measurements, and will undertake general surveying of projects as required, including reviewing and pricing of variations and preparing valuations with Project Managers and the Commercial Director.

The successful candidate will work on a range of projects, including highways term maintenance works and bridge infrastructure projects in the Bath area.

Our client has a ten-year framework with the local council, and the successful candidate will be working on this project.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a good standard of education, preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC) in Construction, Civils, commercial management, or quantity surveying or an equivalent qualification.

Experience working within highways for a tier 1 or tier 2 company as a quantity surveyor is essential, and you should demonstrate good long-term stability at previous companies.

A full UK driver's license is required to enable you to travel to construction sites and other locations.
