This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced secretary and clinical teams, contributing to the delivery of safe care and a positive experience for our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the SLT Therapists' diary and clinic schedules, ensuring efficient and effective use of time.
- Deal with patient queries and other administrative duties, providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule patients for laryngoscopy procedures in the endoscopy unit, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Undertake audio transcription of multi-speciality admin correspondence, preparing documents for signature to a high standard.
- Respond to external and internal telephone enquiries, passing messages and information to the appropriate person quickly and efficiently.
- Communicate with a wide range of staff, patients, and visitors, using various communication methods to meet individual needs.
- Use databases and computer packages to initiate and maintain records, generating statistics for analytical purposes.
- Interrogate patient records and data, ensuring accuracy and updating Trust systems to reflect updated information.
- Ensure accurate tracking and filing of patient investigations and correspondence.
- Collect and sort incoming mail, actioning it as required by Medical Secretary/Consultant or other healthcare professionals.
- Provide secretarial and administrative support when other team members are absent.
