Business Development Manager Opportunity

A new challenge has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join our client in Essex, a leading company in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Logistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with potential clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions to secure ocean, European intermodal, European road & air opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the operations team to develop comprehensive proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Regularly meet with clients to maintain relationships and ensure excellent levels of communication.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
  • Deal with all invoice customer queries in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Strong Sales and Business Development experience within the Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Good Commercial awareness and exceptional negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Good level of IT knowledge, able to use Excel and Outlook.
