At Universal Business Team, we're seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Executive to play a key role in expanding our client base and supporting the growth of our safety-focused, high-quality trailer solutions service.
Position Overview:
This role, based in Colchester, focuses on new business prospecting, lead generation, and client qualification to drive trailer sales growth. Ideal for a results-driven professional, the position requires a determined, customer-focused approach and a commitment to achieving results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities, qualifying leads and supporting the sales team's success.
- Build and nurture client relationships, qualifying database contacts, analysing fleet sizes, and identifying key decision-makers.
- Collaborate closely with the face-to-face (F2F) team to transition clients for discovery calls and further consultative discussions.
- Maintain accurate, organised records within the CRM to support follow-up and monitor KPI progress.
Requirements:
- Confident Communicator: Skilled in phone-based communication, with an engaging, customer-first approach.
- Results-Driven: Self-motivated, thriving in a target-driven environment with minimal micromanagement.
- Collaborative: Participate in daily sales huddles, regular one-on-one meetings, and provide updates on KPI progress.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £40,000 (pro-rata for part-time approx. £25,000-£27,000) plus performance-based bonus.
- Flexible schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-3pm with hybrid options.
