Position Overview:
As a Financial Operations Coordinator, you will report directly to the Finance Director, overseeing all financial and accounting functions within the organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring that financial data is accessible promptly, facilitating informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Supervision of Financial Team:**
Lead the financial department in daily operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes.

2. **Accounting Operations Management:**
Oversee all daily accounting tasks, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and the reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions.

3. **Compliance and Standards:**
Ensure that all transactions are recorded in accordance with current accounting standards and regulations.

4. **Financial Reporting:**
Prepare stock reconciliation schedules and post month-end journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

5. **Team Development:**
Manage the finance team, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance evaluation to foster a high-performing environment.

6. **Technology Collaboration:**
Work alongside the IT department to identify and recommend technology solutions that enhance financial modeling and controls.

7. **Interdepartmental Relations:**
Build strong relationships with team members across various functions to position the finance department as a vital support entity within the organization.

8. **Documentation and Controls:**
Document business processes and accounting policies to uphold internal controls and ensure compliance.

9. **Data Integrity:**
Examine financial reports and data meticulously to identify and rectify discrepancies, creating systems to minimize errors in data collection and calculations.

10. **Tax Knowledge:**
Maintain a solid understanding of tax codes and regulations, applying this knowledge to financial practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accountancy qualifications from recognized bodies such as ACCA or CIMA.

Skills Required:
- Strong analytical abilities to effectively interpret financial reports.
- Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Familiarity with management accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting regulations and best practices in finance.
- Competent computer skills with an understanding of data privacy standards.
