Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Coventry. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing tailored advice and support. Your role will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of SME and personal tax clients, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of accounting and tax services.
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns in compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Overseeing bookkeeping and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Working closely with junior accountants, providing guidance and fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Continuously seeking opportunities to improve practice efficiency and client service.

Requirements:

  • Part or fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, ATT, or similar) with proven experience of working in a UK practice accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, and UK tax legislation, and proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and BrightPay.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
