About the Opportunity
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology. As a key member of the university's senior leadership team, the Dean will play a critical role in advancing the college's mission and strategic plan, driving innovation and excellence in research, teaching, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the college, aligning with the university's strategic plan and priorities.
- Develop and implement innovative academic programs, research initiatives, and community engagement activities that promote excellence and relevance in engineering and technology education.
- Lead and manage the college's administrative and academic staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, alumni, and stakeholders to advance the college's reputation and secure external funding and resources.
- Develop and manage the college's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and strategic investment in key areas.
- Represent the college and the university in external forums, promoting the value and impact of engineering and technology education.

Requirements
