Adjunct Professor of Engineering Technology

Job Opportunity:
Old Dominion University's Department of Engineering Technology invites applications for a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions.
This pool will be accessed ONLY when an opening arises. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than one year.
Academic calendars are provided online and dates of employment would start according to the semester schedule.
The review of applications is ongoing.
Teaching Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in the areas of:
- Civil engineering technology (surveying, CAD, BIM, sustainability, soils and foundations, water resources engineering, and construction management);
- Electrical engineering technology (analog and digital electronics, electrical circuits, microprocessor-based design, programmable logic controllers and instrumentation, electrical machines and power systems);
- Mechanical engineering technology (computer aided drafting and solid modeling, material science and manufacturing processes, thermal-fluid-energy sciences, and engineering mechanics, specifically statics and dynamics).
Qualifications:
Professional experience and experience in teaching or training in a Higher Education setting are required.
A Master of Science or Ph.D. in a closely related field is preferred.
