Position Overview

About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated Support Assistants for Adult Education to become integral members of our team. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing the lives of individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Complex Health Needs, and Behavioral Support Needs.

  • Salary: £16,445.00 per annum before overtime
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
  • Employment Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
As a Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping adults with additional needs access educational opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support with personal care needs, including toileting assistance.
  • Facilitating both indoor and outdoor learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborating with a team of professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our learners.

Our approach is rooted in understanding the unique needs of each individual, and we strive to create a positive and adaptable learning environment.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who have experience working with complex needs, although a genuine desire to support vulnerable adults is equally important. Full training and development will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants should possess:

  • Experience in a similar role, such as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Familiarity with supporting adults with learning difficulties, autism, and mental health challenges.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies.

Desirable Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • A willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
