Job Summary

LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Structural Repair Engineer - Stress Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality integrated and certified engineering solutions for aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement stress analysis methods and techniques to ensure the integrity of aircraft structural components.
  • Collaborate with design and other departments to develop optimum design solutions for aircraft customers.
  • Conduct calculations to assess design solutions using standard hand and methods, and create engineering documentation to achieve valid technical data for repair.
  • Liaise with principal and senior stress engineers to ensure that methods, assumptions, data, and procedures reflect ongoing developments.
  • Ensure that final repair solutions bring aircraft back into an airworthy condition, with relevant technical signature delegations.
  • Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, method, and tools improvements.
  • Ensure all tasks and activities required for repair engineering are correctly planned, monitored, and executed to achieve customer time scales.
  • Provide responses for routine queries, giving advice and guidance as required, and support customer services on repair matters.

Requirements

  • Experience in stress analysis of aircraft structural components.
  • Knowledge of design and sizing of aircraft primary structural components and parts.
  • Ability to communicate and understand key design engineering considerations.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with industry-standard methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of performing stress justification of aircraft repair solutions.
  • Knowledge of aircraft static stress and fatigue stress manuals and tools.
