About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Melbourn, near Cambridge, UK.
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building instructions to assemble products from simple sub-assemblies to final instrument build and test.
You will have good attention to detail, ability to fault find and problem solve, and thrive in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Build instructions to assemble products from simple sub-assemblies to final instrument build and test
- Work collaboratively with our development engineers on products that transform the way scientists work
- Improve efficiencies and quality while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
We are looking for a self-starter with a mechanical mindset who is proactive and willing to learn new skills.
Ideally, you will have 2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent position, or have a BTEC, NVQ, or HNC in an engineering discipline.
You will be a hands-on problem solver with good communication skills and the ability to manage your own time and workload.
