Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Pressure Systems will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services in the pressure systems domain. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality management systems, conduct design reviews, and provide quality assurance support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure that pressure systems meet quality and safety standards.
  • Provide quality assurance support to ensure that products and services meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on quality management systems and procedures.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Experience in the pressure systems domain, preferably in the nuclear or heavily regulated sector.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as GS-R-3, ISO 9001, and ASME codes.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and ability to develop and implement quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of design review processes and ability to conduct design reviews.
  • Ability to provide quality assurance support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering.
  • Registered Professional or Member of a relevant professional organization.
  • Practitioner Grade Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) or equivalent engineering institute.
  • Formally recognized qualification in quality, such as IRCA Audit.
  • Qualified to HNC/Diploma/C&G Licentiateship level as a minimum.
