Logistics Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our production and shipping team, you will be responsible for managing specific programs or projects within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of production and shipping activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Utilize computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives to drive process improvements and enhance overall performance.
  • Perform duties in both an office setting and occasionally in a manufacturing plant environment, adhering to safety standards and wearing personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent, or relevant experience in a production environment and/or shipping administration.
  • Three years' experience in a production environment and/or shipping administration, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with experience in using databases and software applications.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive and collaborative environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with international shipping and logistics, with knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Moderate to high Excel skills, including V/H lookups, pivot tables, index match functions, and other advanced features.
