Position: Residential Services Officer

We are looking for a committed and experienced Residential Services Officer to join our organization. This part-time role involves delivering exceptional housing management services to community members, ensuring they maintain their residences and overall well-being.

The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison for a designated community, overseeing the upkeep and standards of the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of housing management, including Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), arrears management, tenancy evaluations, and tenant onboarding.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for residents, ensuring a consistent presence and providing top-notch support and housing management services.
  • Monitor and report on building safety and compliance matters.
  • Deliver prompt and effective services to tenants.
  • Lead housing management initiatives, particularly in managing ASB and arrears.
  • Maintain precise records, including Health and Wellbeing plans and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with commissioners, care providers, and other stakeholders to meet tenant needs.
  • Manage vacant properties and facilitate smooth tenant transitions.
  • Build strong relationships with local authority partners to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a housing management role, such as Housing Officer, Tenancy Manager, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of housing laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in handling complex casework both in person and in writing.
  • Familiarity with multi-agency approaches to managing ASB.
  • Ability to provide sound tenancy, housing, and leasehold advice, with knowledge of best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
