Ceremonies Registration Officer

Join us at Lancashire County Council as a Ceremonies Registration Officer, where you will play a vital role in creating accurate and timely records of births, stillbirths, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships. As a key member of our Registration Service team, you will be responsible for registering or conducting statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings, and other approved premises within the local authority.
As a Ceremonies Registration Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of people, including couples planning their weddings and civil partnerships, and families dealing with the loss of a loved one. You will be expected to work accurately, following work procedures and without close supervision, and to work flexibly outside of your agreed working pattern on occasions to facilitate the scheduling of the ceremony programme.
We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, confident using digital resources, and committed to effective team working. You will have excellent people skills and the ability to speak in front of an audience.
