We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to lead our high-performing Finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director to drive commercial and strategic expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Management Accountants and wider team, providing support and guidance to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Prepare and present company budget meetings, ensuring timely delivery of annual budgets to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the product and customer profitability analysis, providing insights to directors and stakeholders using business intelligence tools.
  • Drive automation efforts with a cross-functional team, streamlining processes to achieve a paperless environment.
  • Oversee the Management Accountant to ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly reports.
  • Support the three-year forecast model, ensuring data accuracy and providing regular updates.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to non-finance managers, enabling informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A genuine people leader with a track record of nurturing teams and delivering results.
  • Commercial finance background with a strong understanding of the construction industry.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Team-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with construction industry experience highly desirable.
  • Experience using business intelligence and Oracle-based reporting systems.
