Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Vendor Marketing Strategist to become a vital part of our dynamic marketing division, overseeing a diverse portfolio of brands. CMS Distribution stands as a premier specialist distributor of business and consumer technology solutions.

This position will spearhead the formulation and execution of vendor marketing strategies, grounded in market insights, account priorities, and business goals. You will play a crucial role in advocating for our marketing services and engaging with prominent technology brands to implement initiatives that foster business expansion. By leveraging analytics and collaborating with our sales and account management teams, you will pinpoint areas for enhancement to ensure optimal return on investment (ROI) and address commercial challenges effectively.

Strategic Development & Vendor Revenue:

  • Craft comprehensive strategic frameworks with vendors to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Compose briefs and establish expectations to ensure timely and budget-compliant campaign delivery.
  • Oversee all marketing expenditures (in collaboration with Project Managers and Account teams) to guarantee maximum visibility within accounts and ensure campaigns yield a positive ROI.
  • Formulate and synchronize quarterly marketing strategies with key strategic partners.
  • Identify prospects for vendor collaboration and participation in CMS-led marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders for the execution of fully integrated campaigns.
  • Consistently meet vendor revenue targets each quarter.

Partner Marketing Engagement:

  • Foster relationships with clients to influence execution and unlock new opportunities.
  • Establish robust connections with partners, promoting open and reciprocal communication channels.
  • Provide clear reporting of campaign strategies to the organization.
  • Relay feedback from channel partners to pertinent stakeholders.

Campaign Oversight:

  • Ensure channel creative aligns with brand standards—both CMS and partner guidelines.
  • Monitor activities to confirm partners execute according to agreed-upon plans.
  • Communicate campaign effectiveness and ROI assessments to the organization.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Enhance internal cooperation with key stakeholders, including commercial and product vendors.
  • Lead and disseminate best practices within the Marketing team and broader organization.
  • Manage additional projects and relationships within CMS as required.
  • Comprehend customer and vendor account needs and opportunities by cultivating fruitful relationships at all levels within the account. Develop and implement marketing initiatives that address these needs in a timely and innovative manner.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Capable of influencing, persuading, and managing objections.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Commercial acumen to create marketing plans, business cases, and ROI analyses on marketing investments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • Sales experience is also highly advantageous.
