Community Paediatrician Medical Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Community Paediatrics to join our team at Whittington Health NHS Trust. As a Medical Advisor for Adoption Haringey, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical, operational, and strategic support to the Children in Care team.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out health assessments for children going for adoption and provide written reports detailing their medical history and future implications.
- Meet with prospective adopters to share information and provide advice on adoption support plans.
- Attend adoption panels to review medical reports and provide guidance on complex cases.
- Contribute to the development of training programs for prospective adopters and other healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with the Children in Care team to provide holistic care to children with complex needs and disabilities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in paediatrics, neurodisability, and child protection.
- Strong clinical skills in assessing children with complex needs and disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and with multi-agency partners.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
