Lead Care Support Specialist

As a Lead Care Support Specialist at Excelcare Holdings, you will join a dedicated and nurturing team committed to delivering comprehensive physical, emotional, and social assistance. - Competitive hourly rate ranging from £12.60 to £13.00 based on experience and qualifications
- Opportunities for both part-time and full-time positions
- Flexible shifts available, including day and night options from 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am, across all days of the week. Availability for alternate weekends is required
Role Responsibilities:
- As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will collaborate with and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure exceptional care is provided consistently.
- You will report directly to the Home Manager and work closely with ancillary teams and fellow Senior Care Specialists within the facility.
- Engaging in meaningful activities with residents will be a key aspect of your role, always promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
- Your participation in developing personalized care plans and conducting risk assessments will be essential for delivering outstanding care, with regular updates and reviews required.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, holding an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Previous experience in a nursing or care home setting or as a home care worker is essential.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, particularly those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and experience working with individuals with dementia is highly desirable.
- You should be an enthusiastic, inspiring, and compassionate individual, passionate about providing quality care.
