About the Role

Voyage Care Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Renton Court in Huntingdon. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of the individuals we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, to promote independence
  • Encourage individuals to access their local community, socialize, and participate in activities
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and mental well-being

Requirements

  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Resilience, flexibility, and composure in approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
