About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Neonatal Services team. As an Associate Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, family-centred care to newborn babies and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a registered Midwife/Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating care for babies and their families. You will work within the Multidisciplinary Team to support the ethos of family-integrated care, promoting effective communication with parents and empowering them to care for their baby.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register or an Associate Practitioner with a Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience working with newborn babies and birthing people desirable.
  • Positive attitude to providing family-integrated care within a busy environment.
  • Good evidence of ongoing personal development and commitment to further training.
  • Flexible approach to supporting the service in a fast-paced changing department.
