About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled midwife to join our team as a Health Inclusion Specialist Midwife. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to women and birthing people.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advanced level of professional accountability, autonomy, and judgement in the rapid assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of women/birthing people within the Maternity Triage and Day Assessment unit.
  2. Plan and manage complete episodes of care, working in collaboration with midwives, junior doctors, and consultants, to ensure timely, effective management and optimize health outcomes.
  3. Promote and implement service and policy development and redesign, impacting beyond own area and other disciplines, informed by current best practice and evidence-base.
  4. Act as a resource to others and develop, deliver, and evaluate a range of relevant specialist programmes of education and development for women/birthing people and large groups.
Requirements
  • Full Registration with NMC and a practising midwife.
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice in relevant specialist clinical field.
  • Registered Independent Non-Medical Prescriber.
  • Teaching Qualification Working towards a PHD/Doctorate.
  • Decision making/critical analysis.
  • Networking amongst internal and external professionals/organisations.
  • Robust understanding of all aspects of Clinical Governance including previous experience of quality issues, audit and risk management.
