We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Support Worker to join our dynamic team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our physiotherapy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the rehabilitation of patients with medical, surgical, and orthopaedic conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physiotherapists in delivering specified assessment and treatment programmes to patients, working unsupervised with familiar patients and collaborating with qualified and unqualified staff.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to qualified staff and students, undertaking delegated housekeeping and stock control tasks.
- Participate in the weekend service, working in specific specialities and potentially treating children, with working hours dependent on the service provided.
- Essential:
- Work experience or observation in a health or social care setting.
- 5 GCSEs (grades 9-4 or A*, A, B, C), or equivalent level 2 qualification(s) and Functional Skills (level 2), or a level 2 apprenticeship, such as the Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship.
- Desirable:
- Recent work experience in a therapy setting.
- Previous relevant in-service training.
