Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and qualified Social Workers to contribute to a dedicated Children in Care unit.

Eligibility Criteria: Must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

Team Dynamics

You will be part of a team that has adopted the Family Safeguarding Model, which emphasizes addressing the needs of both children and their families. This unit focuses on supporting young individuals aged 16 to 25 who are under the care of the local authority or have prior care experience. Key responsibilities include assisting children in their home environments, promoting stability, guiding them towards adulthood, and equipping them with essential life skills for a successful future.

Role Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a Social Work degree along with a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience. Experience in areas such as Leaving Care, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), and working with Care Experienced Young People is advantageous. A solid understanding of childcare legislation and statutory guidance is a prerequisite.
