Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist Gastro

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Pharmacist Gastro, you will provide a clinical pharmacy service to the gastroenterology ward on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to the gastroenterology ward on a rotational basis.
  • Support the provision and development of a holistic, specialist pharmaceutical care service to patients receiving high-risk, high-cost medication.
  • Support the services provided to outpatients and endoscopy and provide a clinical pharmacy service to the daycase unit.
  • Help provide a ward-based clinical pharmacy service according to Trust agreed standards.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and provide pharmaceutical advice to prescribers and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to Master's Degree level (MPharm or equivalent).
  • Member of General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Post Graduate Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Clinical experience within gastroenterology/hepatology is highly desirable.
