Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Capital, Estates and Facilities Management (CEFM) team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe management of our estates and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Estates Safety, Compliance & Resilience in ensuring the safe management of our estates and facilities.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to Divisions, Corporate Directorates, Governance groups, Senior Managers, Estates and contractors.
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to ensure staff are aware of their responsibilities and duties.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in health and safety.
- Educated to master's degree level or equivalent substantial experience in health and safety.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent or professional experience.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Root Cause Analysis competency.
- Project Management qualification.
- Teacher training qualification.
