Physiotherapist Site Lead Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to take on a Site Lead role within our MSK Outpatient Service. This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to expand their skills and experience in a 12-month acting up post.

Main Responsibilities

  • Triage electronic referrals and manage patient caseloads effectively.
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy services, including assessment, treatment, and advice to patients with various Neuro musculoskeletal presentations.
  • Assess and treat patients autonomously, with support from senior staff when required.
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals, patients, and carers to deliver patient-focused care.
  • Participate in departmental continuous professional development, education, and training.
  • Undertake necessary documentation and have regular clinical supervision.
  • Supervise and appraise other MSK staff and students.
  • Provide evidence-based education and training to physiotherapists, students, and other staff.
  • Contribute to the development and operation of the MSK Outpatient Service.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy with HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of substantial post-registration training in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership of professional groups (MACP/SOM/clinical Interest groups).

  • Specialized knowledge of current management guidelines and evidence in Musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Broad awareness of Musculoskeletal physiotherapy provision and local, professional, and Trust policies.
  • Awareness of NHS and DoH policies and agendas.
  • Experience in clinical audit and evaluation projects.
