About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Delivery Assistant to join our team at FirstGroup. As a key member of our station team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our train station and providing exceptional customer service to our passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high levels of customer service and be dedicated to meeting customer needs.
  • Ensure the safe and punctual departure of trains from the station and follow correct dispatch procedures.
  • Provide helpful information and assistance to customers.
  • Ensure the safety of customers, colleagues, visitors, and contractors is given the highest priority.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the station, including toilets, waiting rooms, platforms, stairs, and subways.
  • Liaise with other key departments to ensure accurate and timely customer information, especially during times of disruption.
Requirements
  • Able to deliver exceptional front-line customer service.
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Able to confidently make decisions.
  • Able to remain calm and confident in a crisis.
  • Comfortable working within strict procedures.
Working Pattern

You will need to be able to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. You will need to be available to work from 05:30 – 00:45 Monday – Sunday, with a roster that averages 35 hours over 6 weeks.

Additional Information

This is a predictive advert to create a pool of suitable candidates who can be appointed pending vacancy approval. Applicants who are successfully shortlisted will be expected to undertake an online ability test and competency-based interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for this role, including colour vision and hearing tests. A Basic DBS is also required.
