About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Autism Lead, working with individuals who are at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our clients, helping them to achieve their full potential and become active and valued members of their community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support and guidance to individuals with autism, helping them to navigate the complexities of homelessness and access the services they need.
  • Work closely with our Housing First team to provide holistic support to individuals, addressing their mental health, social inclusion, and employability needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Contribute to the development of our services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes that enhance the quality of our support.
  • Collaborate with our peer support team to provide a range of outreach services, including Housing Support, Housing First, and Crisis Support.

Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and/or homelessness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
  • Knowledge of the homelessness sector and the services available to individuals in Scotland.
