Compliance Manager Job Description

CV Library is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our dynamic and expanding financial services provider in St Albans. As a Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business meets all regulatory requirements, including FCA obligations, Data Protection, Fraud Prevention, and Consumer Duty Basic Principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Engagement: Ensure our Compliance function has appropriate procedures and monitoring activity to support mandatory requirements.
  • Compliance and AML Oversight: Provide guidance and advice on Compliance and AML matters.
  • Regulatory Returns: Contribute to the accurate and timely completion of regulatory returns.
  • Regulatory Developments: Review and communicate relevant regulatory developments to ensure our business is prepared for and able to comply with new requirements.
  • Compliance Breaches: Provide day-to-day support for compliance breaches and complaints handling.
  • Compliance Monitoring Plan: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Breach Register: Contribute to and maintain our Breach Register, ensuring breaches are reported and completed to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Financial Services, preferably in the Investment and Life Protection sectors, with at least 3 years in Compliance.
  • Qualifications: Appropriate qualifications in financial services.
  • Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships internally and externally.
  • Judgement: Display sound and proportionate judgement.
  • Commercial Outlook: Display a commercial outlook.
  • FCA Handbook and Data Protection: Awareness of the FCA handbook and data protection.
