POSITION OVERVIEW

Wood is currently looking for a Principal HVAC Engineer to join our team on a contractual basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct HVAC engineering tasks for various projects.
  • Possibility of serving as Lead HVAC Engineer when necessary.
  • Act as the originator or reviewer for all HVAC engineering outputs.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of deliverables and project activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare and develop project deliverables.
  • Utilize your expertise in designing and validating ventilation systems, delivering HVAC designs at a principal level.
  • Generate ventilation system design documents, including Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFDs), Basis of Design (BoD), and Plant Sizing Calculations.
  • Prepare written documentation such as Equipment Specifications and Design Assessment Reports.
  • Identify changes in scope and schedule in line with the Change Control Process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures and regulations in design work.
  • Strive to complete all assigned tasks within the agreed budget and timeline.
  • Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their evaluation.
  • Perform sizing of HVAC equipment as required for each project phase.
  • Hybrid working arrangements are available.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in FEED and EPC projects.
  • Proficient in client management and briefing activities.
  • Experience coordinating within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and Building Services systems.
  • Good project management skills in the HVAC discipline.
  • Familiarity with client and industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Awareness of current 'Green' directives related to HVAC and building services.
