About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bincombe Valley Primary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils with Communication and Interaction needs in our Primary Inclusion Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils in the Hub and in class
  • Delivering specific programmes of intervention
  • Liaising with teachers to ensure work is appropriate for pupils
  • Preparing pupils for end of key milestones
  • Promoting inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Setting high expectations
  • Promoting self-esteem and independence
  • Supporting the team in all aspects of preparation and delivery of classroom learning
Requirements
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • Experience of working with Early Years or Key Stage 1 pupils
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to engage learners
  • NVQ Level 3 (minimum NVQ Level 2) in the field of Teaching and Learning, or equivalent
  • English and Maths skills equivalent to GCSE standard
