Teaching Assistant - SEN

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in Weymouth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to pupils with SEN
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning experience
Requirements:
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs or mental health difficulties
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
