At Hays Senior Finance, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Assistant Manager to join our Business Services and Outsourcing team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting services to our clients, working closely with a range of clients from ambitious entrepreneurial SMEs to large multinational groups across East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver financial reporting services on your own portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of high-quality files for manager review.
  • Be proactive in seeking support from peers and managers when faced with complex issues, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage the day-to-day contact for your allocated portfolio, providing exceptional communication and support to clients.
  • Where applicable, manage the work of more junior team members on your portfolio, including briefings and monitoring of performance to ensure completion of the job.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide ad-hoc accounting assistance and ensure clients receive excellent service.
  • Complete client-take-on procedures for new clients, including preparing engagement letters for manager and partner review.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Solid accountancy experience required, with a strong understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting packages including Xero, IRIS GP accounts, and Sage.
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team to deliver projects, with a proven track record of achieving results.
