Civil Engineering Operatives
We are seeking multiple Civil Engineering Operatives to join our esteemed Highways Infrastructure clients. This position will primarily focus on the Midlands region, with occasional travel required. The salary range for this role is between £36,000 and £49,000, contingent upon your experience and certifications. Please note that the role may involve working nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting general civil engineering tasks, including working at heights, installing lanterns, erecting signs, laying ducts, reinstating surfaces, cabling, and groundwork.
  • Constructing chambers in accordance with highway and utility specifications.
  • Ensuring all installations meet the required standards.
  • Performing excavation tasks.
  • Building cabinet and feeder pillar sites.
  • Operating heavy machinery or vehicles.
  • Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out trial holes and hand excavation as necessary.
  • Identifying potential risks and issues on-site and providing proactive solutions.
Candidate Requirements
  • Capable of performing manual labor, including trenching and cable laying.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and travel as needed.
