We're seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our Transportation team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in developing and designing highway maintenance schemes using best practice asset management principles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, developing, and implementing highway maintenance schemes to specification, budget, and agreed targets while liaising with project teams and clients.
- Developing and producing detailed AutoCad scheme drawings, preparing bills of quantities, inspection and test plans, and suitable scheme pre-construction information documentation.
- Delivering detailed designs with minimal supervision in accordance with approved design procedures and systems.
- Interpreting and communicating on legislation, regulations, policies, strategies, and technical guidance across the team as appropriate and making sure cases for any departures are authorized and presented for approval.
Requirements include a HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering with experience in highways maintenance, a thorough understanding of highway design principles, and the ability to produce drawings in AutoCAD, together with use of Keysign, Keyline, and AutoTrack software.
