Job Title: Band 7 Community Midwife

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated midwife to join our vibrant Maternity Team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 7 Community Midwife, you will be responsible for providing autonomous, evidence-based, women-centred midwifery care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, representatives, and service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement individualized midwifery care that is centered on the needs of women, pregnant individuals, children, and families.
  • Ensure all risk assessments and referrals are completed and actioned, with documentation to meet Trust and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow midwifery and obstetric guidelines, liaising with the multidisciplinary team to implement patient care, reporting and recording any deviations from protocols.
  • Manage the clinical workload effectively, prioritizing care and ensuring optimal bed usage.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, including mandatory training and online learning.
  • Satisfy the Clinical Governance agenda in all aspects of care delivery.
Personal and Professional Development:
  • Actively participate in maintaining own professional development, identifying educational and clinical training needs with Line Manager.
  • Ensure own mandatory training certificates are current.
  • Maintain full conversance with current national and local guidance and the NMC curriculum standards.
