We are seeking an experienced Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our thriving team at Lightfoots LLP, reporting to the Litigation Partner. The ideal candidate will have significant legal experience with a background in either property or banking & finance dispute resolution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied caseload, including mortgage litigation, secured and unsecured debt recovery, lender liability claims, and enforcement of security through LPA and fixed charge Receiverships. Key duties will include:
- Providing day-to-day support to clients and assisting with the onboarding of new clients
- Analysis of loan agreements, mortgages, personal guarantees, debentures, and other forms of security
- Advising on matters of dispute, including financial services regulation and risk, and providing legal opinions and summaries of options and prospects for success
- Assisting clients in their choice of strategy and developing strong relationships with clients
- Staying up-to-date with changes in law and researching law relating to specific instructions
- Drafting settlement agreements and consent orders where appropriate
- Briefing counsel and overseeing contested possession claims
- Managing MI and ensuring the smooth operation of the team
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise tasks and manage own workload
