Job Title: Clinical Lecturer, Center for Simulation

Widener University is seeking a Clinical Lecturer/Simulation Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Director of the Center for Simulation and provide support to the Assistant Director of the Simulation Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement simulation scenarios to create effective student learning opportunities.
  • Maintain clinical and simulation expertise through ongoing education and certification.
  • Participate in faculty governance activities and contribute to the daily operations of the simulation center.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students and course coordinators.
  • Engage in scholarly productivity through simulation-related research and collaborate with course coordinators to implement student clinical remediation plans.
  • Participate in student recruiting and retention activities.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Ability to think critically to resolve problems or issues that arise.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of simulation-based technology platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with a major in nursing.
  • Prior simulation experience.
  • Certification in simulation.
