Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Cardiothoracic Services, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Cardiac Device Therapy, Cardiac Catheter Lab, and Non-Invasive Diagnostics services.

Main Responsibilities

As an Advanced Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in a wide range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures, including cardiac device follow-up clinics, palpitations clinics, and valve screening clinics. You will also have the opportunity to gain high-level skills and qualifications within the Cardiac Device, Cardiac Catheter Lab, Electrophysiology, and Non-Invasive Services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, as well as IBHRE or BHRS certification. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well within a team. A strong emphasis is placed on professional development, and we offer opportunities for leadership and management training.

Person Specification

  • Essential qualifications: BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, IBHRE or BHRS certification
  • Essential skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team
  • Desirable qualifications: NVQ Level 4 in Leadership/Management or willingness to work towards
  • Desirable skills: ability to speak Welsh
