Occupational Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Rapid Response Team (RRT) / Urgent Community Response Service (UCR) in Bexley. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic health and social care assessments for individuals in crisis, promoting functional independence and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough specialist Occupational Therapy assessments of clients, obtaining consent in accordance with professional guidelines and local team procedures.
- Recommend appropriate interventions to promote functional independence and safety, utilizing effective clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice.
- Work closely with other health professionals and social services to provide specialist Occupational Therapy advice in meeting the needs of clients.
- Participate in and lead multidisciplinary team meetings and complex family conferences to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage clinical risk with complex patients and identify when and how to terminate involvement or refer onwards to appropriate teams/services.

Requirements- Recognised Occupational Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration.
- Post-registration experience as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, sufficient to meet Band 6 requirements.
- Experience of working in a specialist Rapid Response Team and using standardised assessments.
