Job Title: East Midlands Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Springcare Care Homes Ltd in the East Midlands region.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Facilities Manager to coordinate maintenance works within the homes and rental properties.
  • Ensure that all empty rooms are ready and meet the required standards.
  • Manage maintenance vans, ensuring they are fully stocked and conducting regular stock takes.
  • Support in-house maintenance teams with their workloads, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Liaise with Home Managers to discuss work schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Carry out maintenance checks in the absence of in-house maintenance teams.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and deal with them effectively.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance checks on maintenance and gardening vehicles.
  • Liaise with contractors and conduct inductions as required.
  • Deputise for the Facilities Manager when necessary.
Policies and Procedures:
  • Familiarise yourself with and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Report any breaches or potential breaches to the Maintenance Directors PA.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, Fire Regulations, and moving and handling policies.
  • Undertake core training and development in accordance with induction and renewal policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in plumbing, plastering, and electrics (ideally).
  • Willingness to gain qualifications.
  • Experience working in a care home environment.
  • Ability to develop relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of building construction and maintenance.
