Painter and Decorator

The main **tasks **of a **painter and decorator** include:

- Supports the smooth running of the property maintenance department, where all areas are maintained to the highest levels
- Preparing work areas and protecting surfaces not requiring painting with covers or sheets
- Preparing areas to be painted - e.g. removing old paint, levelling surfaces, filling in cracks and holes etc.
- Painting interior and exterior walls using brushes, rollers, and other tools
- Executing artistic decorations, effects, and patterns etc.
- Inspecting painted surfaces and rectifying any flaws or defects
- Removing tools and supports and cleaning work areas
- Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
- Assisting with other minor maintenance tasks, as directed by your supervisor

This position will include shifts working 5 from 7 days, mostly mid week, with some weekend working. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods, including bank holidays.

Min 2 years of experience in a similar role

Flexible - we would consider this a full time role, however we are flexible on this and would consider less hours, but a minimum of 30 per week. Start and finish times can be flexible.

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
