The primary functions of the Business Continuity and Resilience Specialist include:
1. Providing expert advice and guidance to facilitate the implementation of enterprise resilience and business continuity in alignment with governmental standards and best practices, supporting the organization's strategic objectives.
2. Offering continuous assistance to the incident response team for operations, ensuring business priorities are met during incidents, risks, and challenges.
3. Assisting in the creation and upkeep of business continuity plans, business impact assessments, disaster recovery strategies, and related documentation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
4. Delivering support and counsel to functional teams regarding business continuity risks affecting information, facilities, reputation, and other critical assets.
5. Facilitating resilience exercises to validate business continuity measures and enhance knowledge across the organization.
6. Aiding incident response personnel in applying lessons learned from exercises to strengthen resilience planning and ensure ongoing development of exercises to bolster business delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Professional certification in Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Proven experience in developing a Business Continuity program in accordance with ISO22301 or a resilience program aligned with ISO22316 within a corporate or highly regulated setting.
3. Demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement, identifying key stakeholders, and building strong relationships to achieve business goals and outcomes.
4. Experience in supporting business continuity and resilience evaluations, audits, and performance monitoring to drive improvement initiatives.
5. Comprehensive understanding of enterprise resilience and business continuity best practices.
6. Familiarity with Enterprise Resilience, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management standards and guidelines.
7. Insight into the implications of enterprise resilience and business continuity within critical infrastructure organizations.
8. Proficiency in project management techniques and supporting the effective execution of business continuity programs in high-profile projects.
9. Experience in drafting procedures, reports, and providing guidance to staff.
10. Skilled in delivering briefings to personnel at all organizational levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
2. Knowledge of Security Assessment Principles for the Civil Nuclear Industry and relevant security standards regarding resilience and business continuity.
3. Experience in developing and delivering resilience/business continuity training and exercise programs.
4. Understanding of cyber resilience standards within the supply chain.
5. Membership in a professional institute or industry body.
6. Diploma or Certificate in Business Continuity Management or Enterprise Resilience.
